MEMBERSHIP
A. All players must be members in good standing, of the Little Miami Dart Association (L.M.D.A.)
B. Each member shall carry his/her membership card on league night.
C. A representative of each team must submit their rosters and league fees on the nights that are set up for league sign-ups.
D. A team may not change or add to its submitted roster before the start of the league season, without the approval of the captains within that teams division and the Complaint Committee.
E. A team may add a new member to a roster provided fewer than eight (8) members are on that roster. A team may not add a new member to its roster in the last five (5) weeks of league play without consent from the League Officers.
NOTE - EXCEPTION: A team may not add a member whose ranking is higher than the class division of that team to its roster. For example, a division '4' team may not add a division '2' player to its roster.
F. When signing up or adding a new member, the league will classify him/her per the last division he/she shot. The league classifies a member who missed one season per the last division he/she has shot. A member who misses two seasons in a row or more, will be permitted to drop down one division as per his/her last division shot. The league shall then classify the team as belonging to the division which the highest ranking team member has been classified. The eligibility and ranking of a member is to the discretion of the Executive Committee.
G. Members must be of legal drinking age, according to the requirements of the Ohio Department of Liquor Control.
H. A team may add new members to its roster after the start of the season. The team must complete a New Member form for that member. The team must send in the form and the league fees for that member on his/her first night of play. The New Member form must be mailed to the League Secretary and the fees must be mailed to the Treasurer within 48 hours of the new members first night of play. If this is not done, the member will be considered ineligible and than all points won in games played in by that member will be deducted and be added to the score of the opposing team.
I. The league shall consider any team member misrepresented (i.e., - an incorrect statement concerning the prior league experience of a member) on either the team sign-up roster or the New Member form ineligible for league membership. The League Secretary will deduct all points won in the games played in by that member and add them to the score of all prior opposing teams against whom that member competed against.
J. All share holders may participate in elections and majority referendums. It is therefore the responsibility of both the team captain and his/her teammates to communicate with each other as to what they may feel is best for the league concerning elections and/or referendums.
K. Points lost for persons who throw without paying their proper fees on time are non-retroactive. Upon payment (for the whole season), points lost will not be returned.
L. All league and sponsor fee's are to be paid upon sign-up night. If sponsor fee's are not paid, the non-paying bar will be penalized a home match and the team or teams will be penalized one (1) point per week till the fee is paid. If the sponsor fee is not paid by mid season, the bar will be dropped from the league.
DEFINITIONS
A. MATCH - An evening's play directed by a L.M.D.A. divisional schedule.
B. GAME - The best two (2) out of three (3) legs.
C. LEAGUE OFFICERS - President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer and Recorder.
D. EXECUTIVE BOARD - Current league officers and complaint committee members. (Rules and Banquet & Awards Committees when sitting.)
E. QUORUM - Two (2) or more league officers.
F. COMPLAINT COMMITTEE - The Chairperson along with a representative from each division. (Elected prior to the start of each new season)
G. EXECUTIVE BOARD MEETING - A meeting of at least three (3) board members. (One must be a League Officer)
H. COMPLAINT COMMITTEE MEETING - A meeting of at least three members of the complaint committee.
I. RULES COMMITTEE - The Chairperson (A league officer) and a representative from each division. Select prior to each fall season for 1 full term.
J. GENERAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING - A meeting of which all members of the league may attend, whereas a team representative must attend.
K. TEAM CAPTAIN - A person who is the representative of his/her team.
L. MEMBER IN GOOD STANDING - a member with current league fees paid in full and is an active member of league play.
N. MEMBER IN GOOD STANDING (INACTIVE) - A previous LMDA member who pays 1/4 of the current membership fee and retains Banquet and Meeting status along with all member privileges except voting.
LEAGUE OFFICERS
A. Elections will be held for the following league officers.
PRESIDENT - Will be responsible for organizing of league seasons conducting general membership meetings and special meetings and other duties deemed necessary for the league.
VICE PRESIDENT - Will be responsible for verifying league seasons as produced by the Executive Board, conducting meetings in the absence of the president and other duties deemed necessary for the league.
LEAGUE SECRETARY - Will be responsible for organizing league season, maintaining accurate records of league proceedings, assessments of penalty points and other duties deemed necessary for the league. This officer will receive payment of .50 cents per league member per season. This fee will be assessed in addition to the regular league fees. (included in the price of membership fee).
TREASURER - Will be responsible for helping to organize league seasons, collections of all league fees, maintaining accurate financial records, making sure fees are paid on time, submitting a statement of account at all general membership meetings and other duties deemed necessary for the league.
RECORDER - Will be responsible for creation and maintenance of a player database of all persons present/past whom have been a member of the league, and other duties deemed necessary for the league. Will verify league seasons along with the Vice President. This officer will also receive a payment of $.50 per league member per season as per the Secretary. The Recorder holds the tie breaking vote in all matters pertaining to the complaint committee.
B. Elections will be held during the spring banquet of every even numbered year. Nominations will be made at the spring mid-season general membership meeting.
C. If no nominations are made for a position, the person currently holding that position will remain in that position for the next term of office.
D. If nominations are made for a position, the incumbent will automatically be considered nominated for that position that he/she currently holds and become a candidate.
E. The incumbent must inform the secretary, in writing, if he/she does not wish to automatically run for re-election in that position which he/she currently holds.
F. The term of office for the league officers shall be for a period of two years. Terms start on the day after the spring banquet of the election year.
G. Should any officer resign during his/her term, democratic succession shall follow and/or a special election will be held. Said officer is ineligible for re-election for a period of one year.
H. After nominations for league officers are taken, the league secretary shall mail the list of candidates to each sponsor bar. The purpose of this is to notify the general membership of the league who is running for office. The members can then voice their opinions regarding the candidates.
I. The election results will be determined by at least three complaint committee members (none of which are running for any office). These members shall be an independent committee responsible for fairly counting the election ballot results.
J. Voting will take place at the spring banquet. All members in good standing with LMDA will be eligible to vote. A ballot will be provided when your membership card is turned in at the door. Each member will be asked to cast their vote and place it in the ballot box at the door.
COMPLAINT COMMITTEE
A. COMPLAINT COMMITTEE CHAIRPERSON - Will be responsible for presiding over the complaint committee and other duties deemed necessary for the league. The chairperson shall be the sergeant of arms at all meetings. The chairperson will assemble the committee along with the Executive Board to determine divisional lineups prior to the start of each season.
B. DIVISION REPRESENTATIVE - There will be one representative from each division. The representatives will make up the complaint committee and be responsible for resolving disputes which may arise in the course of a season.
C. Representatives will be selected from their respective division only. This election will be prior to the start of each season.
D. Election of division representatives will be as follows:
Nominations for candidates for each division shall be made from within that division at the pre-season general membership meeting.
Elections for the representatives of each division shall be held by secret ballot from within that division at the pre-season general membership meeting.
Term of Office shall be for one (1) season. From pre-season election to the next pre-season election.
E. Election of the complaint committee chairperson shall be of those persons elected as division representatives who will choose a Chairperson once the divisions are represented.
F. RULES COMMITTEE: Will peruse probable Rule Book Amendments and present the final text to the membership for a vote. Will periodically review existing rules for clarification.
Chairperson (Must be a League Officer)- Is responsible for assembling the Committee whenever new rules are presented for amendment. The Chair holds the deciding vote in all committee matters.
All amendments to the rule book must pass by a majority vote of the League Membership.
G. BANQUET & AWARDS COMMITTEE- To assist Executive Board as needed.
SPECIAL ELECTIONS
A. Special elections procedures shall be as follows:
The remaining Executive Officers shall appoint a replacement from the elected complaint committee. The term of office shall be until the next general membership meeting.
The replacement for the division representative shall be appointed by the remaining representatives from among the general membership of the division for which the departing representative played in.
If necessary, a new chairperson shall be selected from the remaining division representatives. (This shall only be done if the chairperson has been appointed to a league officer position).
Nominations for the vacated seat of office shall be taken at the very next general membership meeting.
The election for that position shall be held by secret ballot.
The league secretary shall distribute ballots as necessary at that meeting.
If the appointee who filled the vacancy is elected to that posistion, the same procedure shall be used to elect a division representative to the complaint committee, if necessary. However, only the effected division may participate in this procedure.
If the appointee who filled the league officer vacancy elects not to run for the vacant seat, he/she shall resume their old posistion on the complaint committee. The appointee who sat in that position shall be required to vacate that seat.
B.Impeachment of an elected officer procedures shall be as follows:
To institute an impeachment vote, a petition signed by a minimum of 1/3 of the current membership must be presented to the complaint committee.
After this is done, a secret ballot with three (3) available options of [OUST] [RETAIN] [ABSTAIN], will be distributed to all members. All members must select an option and return their ballot immediately. All unreturned ballots will count as ABSTAINED.
A 2/3's majority by all voting members is required for an ouster.
In the event that a person is removed from office by this method, that person is banned for life from being a team representative or holding office in the L.M.D.A.
Replacement of an impeached officer shall fall under existing rules governing the resignation of an officer.
C. At any General Membership Meeting, removal proceedings can be brought up against any League officer, if they are believed to be embezzling funds from the League:
At the call for New Business the individual who wants to begin the proceedings must declare their intentions.
All evidence they have to support the claim must be presented to the General Membership at this time.
The accused person will then have enough time to try to rebuke the claim. Once the discussion is over, there will be a vote by secret ballot with two (2) available options of [OUST] [RETAIN], that will be distributed to all members present. All members must select an option and return their ballot immediately.
A 2/3's majority by all voting members present is required for an ouster. In the event that a person is removed by this method, that person is banned for life from being a member of this league. Also all mention of that person will be removed from the records of the league.
Any person removed by this method will be replaced the night of the vote. If the position of President is removed the Vice President will move to President’s role and the vote will be for the open position of Vice President. If any of the other officers are removed by this method then nominations will be taken and voted on the same night to fill that position. All Persons voted in will hold the office for the current season. Nominations for permanent replacement of the person or persons will be made to the Secretary in writing. All nominations must be in the hands of the Secretary by the last night of the dart season (If no nominations are received the person currently holding the office will assume the role for the remaining amount of time left on the term). If nominations are made, the Secretary will then create a ballot of the nominations and have it available for the General Membership to vote on at the banquet for the current season. The person voted in will take the office for the remaining time left on the term.
THE SPONSOR & EQUIPMENT
A. To avoid disputes, all team captains should inspect the playing conditions and inform all team members of any irregular conditions prior to the start of the Match. An acceptable bristle board should be secured to the wall 5’8” from the center of the Bulls Eye to the floor.
B. There shall be a 1" strip at 7' 9 1/4" from the front of the board.
C. All boards must be lighted and cast only light shadows.
D. A scoreboard must be in front of the 7' 9 1/4" line and in full view of the shooter. Chalk and/or markers must be available.
E. Bare concrete floors in front of the boards are prohibited.
F. Each bristle dartboard which is to be used in L.M.D.A. season play shall have an associated scoreboard which is to be used solely for the purpose of keeping score on that bristle dartboard.
G. Sponsor fees will be $40.00 per team per season.
H. All equipment must meet league standards.
I. A sponsor who supports 1-2 teams must have at least two (2) dartboards. A sponsor who supports 3-4 teams must have four (4) dartboards and so on.
J. Sponsors who support one (1) team are guaranteed two teams every other week. Sponsors who support two teams are guaranteed two (2) teams every week. Sponsors who support three (3) teams are guaranteed at least two (2) teams every week, and two (2) more teams every other week. Sponsors who support four (4) or more teams are guaranteed four (4) teams every week. These guarantees may work out to an average during the season, and also depend on the length of each division's play.
K. When a position round is used to even out scheduling it will be scheduled after one complete cycle (your team has thrown everyone in your division at least once) or at a point near the mid-season membership meeting. To determine who throws who use the standings for the league from the previous week. To determine the location of the matches the higher position team will be the home team. If for some reason a match cannot be thrown at the home teams bar (not enough boards), a neutral site should be selected and agreed to by both team captains.
THE TEAM
A. Membership fees will be $21.00 per team member per season. Of the membership fee, $.50 per member will go to the Recorder and $.50 per member will go to the secretary.
B. Forfeiture Penalties
One night of league play is forfeited by a team, that team will lose one (1) point off of that teams "points won" total.
Two nights of league play are forfeited by a team, that team will lose two (2) points off of that teams 'Points Won' total.
Three nights of league play are forfeited by a team, that team will lose three (3) points off of that teams 'Points Won' total. All members of that team will lose their banquet privileges and no team or individual awards will be presented to any member of that team.
Team members may attend the banquet, but they will be required to pay the guest fee to gain entry.
The team can possibly be suspended for two (2) full seasons if deemed necessary.
C. Forfeiture Point Assessments
When a team forfeits a match, the team that is forfeited to, gets the average number of points received in the previous or future match or matches with that team for that session of darts. The forfeiting team receives zero points for that match. If a lower position team is forfeited to late in the season they will be awarded the total match points from their previous match even if they had lost (Example: Team 1 defeats team 8 by a score of 20 to 10 early in the season and then forfeits the last night since they had a hold on first place. Team 8 will be awarded the score from the previous match 20 wins and 10 losses.) If no previous matches have been thrown then the team that is forfeited to gets 18 points (2/3 of total points allowed) with no losses.
D. A team shall consist of four (4) to eight (8) players.
E. At least two (2) team members must be present to compete, all eight (8) members may compete in one night.
F. When a team is short darters for a game, they must forfeit a turn for each darter who is absent.
G. Any player arriving late may not compete in any leg in progress. He/she may warm up only if it does not delay the start of a leg or event.
H. A member on a team roster may not be a substitute for any other team member.
I. A member may change teams only with the written approval from the team captain and may not rejoin that team in the same season. Written notice must be given to the secretary before the changes take place.
J. Any member who is found to be an ineligible player will have all points (which that player was involved in winning) deducted from the teams point total.
THE LINE-UP
A. No realignment may be made from the original lineup.
B. Substitutions may be made only with the approval of opposing team captain.
C. If after signing up for match play, a member is called away on an emergency, a sub may be inserted. This sub must be a member of the teams roster.
D. It is allowable to fill out the score sheet in stages of matches if so desired. This should be agreed on between the two team captains before league play.
E. A player can play in only 1(one) singles match. Either 301 or cricket.
EXCEPTION: In divisions where 501 singles are played, a player may shoot 501 singles and then later in the match shoot either a 301or a cricket singles.
F. Both teams must supply a score sheet and are responsible for mailing the score sheet to the Secretary within 48 hours of the matches conclusion. (Win or lose)
G. Any unfinished games (for any reason at all) will result in all unfinished games being forfeited by that team.
H. An evening of play will be played only in the order of that divisions score sheet. No exceptions will be made to this rule by the captains.
I. The order of play when a team has less than four (4) players, 1 must play 2 in the doubles. Singles play one on one.
The order of play
THE MATCH
A. A 'fall 2006' match will consist of one doubles 401 [double in - double out], two doubles cricket, two doubles 501, two singles 301 [double in - double out], two single cricket. All matches are 2 of 3 legs.
BEGINNING THE GAME
A. All games begin by two opposing players throwing at the cork. The player who throws nearest to center Bull has his/her choice of starting the match. Single bull is inside the outer ring, double Bull is inside center ring. Ties require a new throw. Reverse Order.
B. Only players schedule in that game may throw for the cork.
C. The visiting team will have the first option on the cork for the beginning of every match. The losing team of the first game will have the first option on the cork for the second game. Should a third game be necessary, the visiting team will again have the first option on the cork. Should any re-throws at the cork be necessary, additional re-throws are made on an alternating basis.
D. The dart must remain in the board to be counted. Additional throws may be made (only when throwing at the cork) until the player’s dart remains in the board. Should the second player’s dart dislodge the first player’s dart, a re-throw will be made with the second player throwing first.
E. The second player, if he/she so desires, may acknowledge the first dart as in the inner or outer bull, and ask for that dart to be removed before his/her throw.
F. Darts must not be touched before the decision of the throwers. Should the throwers be in doubt, then both team captain shall give their opinions, with the majority ruling.
G. The order in which players shoot shall be left to their captains or participating partner. Cork shooters need not be the one who throws first in any double or team game.
TIME FACTORS
A. All matches are scheduled to start at 7:30 p.m. on that date and at the place scheduled.
B. The deadline for starting is 7:45 p.m.
C. No more than ten minutes may elapse between games. Once the game players have been announced the game must start within 5 minutes. Players not showing within 5 minutes will forfeit that leg of the game.
D. Dartboards must be made available only to the league members shooting that night at least twenty minutes before starting time.
E. In severe weather, the secretary will notify each sponsor of league play cancellation. League members should call their respective sponsor after 6:00 p.m.
F: If a Team needs to reschedule a match, both team captains must agree upon the schedule change before the scheduled match is to occur. The match must be completed before the following weeks match. The Secretary must be notified in advance of the match and must ok the change. If the match is not completed in the time specified (By the following Monday night) and on the night selected the team that shows up for the match must submit a score sheet showing the forfeit and will be awarded points in accordance with leagues forfeit rules.
Reminder: If you and your team will be late for the start of the match it would be in good faith to call the captain of the other team to let them know about the delay.
LEAGUE MONEY
A. The league officers will withhold enough money to insure the cost of forming the league for the following season.
B. All checks written by the league must contain two signatures. Newly elected officers signatures will be added to the League’s bank account and exiting officers name removed after elections. A receipt must accompany all purchases made by board members in order to be reimbursed.
C. At every General Membership Meeting, a financial report of total receipts and expense items for that time period between membership meetings will be reported along with the total income balance. The financial records for the year will start in the spring league and will end at the conclusion of the fall league; shall be audited by the Treasurer and an appointed league member (one who is not a presiding league officer and is familiar with financial reporting).
REPORTING RESULTS
A. It is the responsibility of both team captains to ensure that the score sheet is filled out correctly. This is to include the DATE, TEAM NAMES, FIRST and LAST name of each player at least once, total points won by each team and the signature of both team captains. All individual awards must be recorded at the bottom of the score sheet to be official.
Failure to include the date on the score sheet will result in a (3) pt. deduction in the "Points Won" total of both teams.
Failure to include the full name of each team member who plays at least once on the score sheet will result in a (3) pt. deduction in the "Points Won" total of that team. When the team captain signs the score sheet, it is his/her responsibility to check this prior to affixing his/her signature.

B. The winning team captain must phone in the results of the match before 2:30 a.m. on the night of play. Scores are phoned to an answering system. It is the responsibility of the team captain to ensure that his/her message was recorded. If the score is not called in by the deadline, three (3) points will be deducted from that teams "Points Won" total.
C. Both team captains must also mail the score sheet directly to the league secretary within 48 hours from the end of that night of league play. The envelope must be postmarked within that time frame, if not, (3) pts. Will be deducted from that team’s “Points Won” total. Both team captains must sign both copies. The score sheet is the official league record. Once the Secretary receives and verifies both copies of the score sheets (Making sure they are the same), it is the responsibility of the Secretary to mail one of the copies to the Recorder for his records. One of the copies must be mailed to the Recorder no later then two weeks from the night the match was thrown.
D. A sample score sheet, which has been correctly completed and filled in, shall be included as a part of the team packet.
E. The Penalty for a late score sheet from the last week of the L.M.D.A. season, shall be twofold:
No matter what the amount of "Points Won" and "Points Lost" are for the violating team, that team will automatically drop one (1) position in the official Final L.M.D.A. Standings, and...
In the next season that they choose to participate in L.M.D.A. league competition, the Captain and CO-captain of the violating team will automatically incur a three (3) point deduction from the "Points Won" total of the team(s) to which they belong. This penalty will be assessed to the team(s) prior to the start of the season.
F. In the event of any team that has any outstanding score sheets during the season and has not turned them in that team will be penalized as the same as having a late score sheet on the last week of the season.
SPORTSMANSHIP
A. Good sportsmanship should be the prevailing attitude during all L.M.D.A. sponsors events.
B. Attempts to distract an opponent while he/she is throwing will not be tolerated. Complaints may result in the league taking disciplinary action.
C. Darts is a spirited game where common courtesy is essential and a handshake between players after a game is an outward gesture of good sportsmanship.
D. It is not considered un-sportsmanlike conduct for a captain to protest a direct violation of any league rules.
E. Any kind of physical or verbal assault upon any member, quest, bar patron, and/or bar employee will not be tolerated by the LMDA.
F. Any abuse or destruction of a sponsors equipment or property will be referred to the legal authorities.
DISPUTES
A. Normally all disputes/complaints should be settled between the team captains involved at the time of the incidence.
B. Any disputes/complaints that can not be settled by the team captains will be decided by the Complaint Committee.
C. In case of a dispute/complaint, it must be presented in writing, either shown on the score sheet and initialed by the team captains, or mailed in a separate letter detailing the dispute/complaint. A protest must be presented to the league secretary within 72 hours of the incidence. The league secretary will forward the protest to the Chairperson of the Complaint Committee.
D. When a protest is received, the league secretary will inform the captain of the team whom the complaint has been lodged against, of the details immediately by phone or letter.
E. The Complaint Committee will then make a decision as to what should be done to the team or member whom the complaint has been filed against, and inform the league secretary the it’s decision.
All complaint committee decisions will be on permanent record of said team/member.
F. The Complaint Committee has the authority to make Rule Determinations on said disputes/complaints. The determination will then be presented to the captains of all divisions for a majority vote to concur with the decision of the committee. The team(s) involved will not have a vote in the decision.
G. All comments concerning the equipment, playing conditions, etc. of a particular establishment must be sent in writing to the league secretary. These comments should be submitted in detail and mailed within 72 hours. These comments will be forwarded to the complaint committee. All decisions as to the acceptability of the dart playing area of the establishment in question are to be made by the complaint committee.
SCORING
A. In the games of: 301,401 and 501 all scoring shall be subtracted from the start of the game and end by scoring a double.
B. If so requested by the shooter the scorekeeper shall refrain from smoking and/or drinking while scoring.
C. For the dart to score, it must remain independently in the board until the darter retrieves it after the final dart has been thrown and the score has been recorded.
D. Propelling a dart by mechanical or other means is not permitted.
E. To score, the point of the dart must be touching in the bristle portion of the dartboard.
F. A dart’s score shall be decided from the side of the wire at which the dart has entered the dartboard. In cases where the double and triple rings are bounder by bands of color instead of wire, a dart lodged between the bands of color where they overlay shall be scored as the triple or the double.
G. No dart may be touched by the thrower, another player, scorer, captain or spectator before the decision of the scorer is made.
H. No dart(s) may be touched by the thrower before completion of his/her turn. If a dart is touched, the thrower’s turn will be considered completed and all darts not yet thrown will not count towards the score.
I. Both feet must be behind the toe line. This line must not be trodden on or crossed before the dart contacts the board. If this rule is violated by a player advancing within the minimum distance, the opposing team captain will warn the opposing players captain. Further violations will result in forfeiture of the score obtained from the dart(s) thrown.
J. If a player throws out of turn, his/her score is removed and the correct scheduled player for that team is to throw. The out of turn player forfeits his/her next scheduled turn in the game. The opposing player must challenge the out of turn player before the opposing player throws his round.
K. It is the responsibility of the player to verify his/her score before removing his/her darts from the dartboard. Errors in arithmetic must stand as written, unless corrected before the beginning of that players next throw. In cases of Doubles/Team games, such errors must be rectified before the next turn of any partner/player on that team.
L. A player may cross the toe line and approach the dartboard to verify where a dart that he/she has thrown has landed, as stated in section H above, the dart may not be touched in any manner without penalty.
M. Any darts thrown, after doubling out in a point game, that land in a region of the dartboard which would add points to the score of the thrower do not count. The game is considered won at the moment that any correctly thrown dart lands in the proper double region.
N. In cricket, the side who has closed all numbers first and has a point total greater than or equal to the opponents point total is the winner.
O. All darts must be thrown before they can be scored or touched.
SCORING SYSTEM
A. The L.M.D.A. uses a 1 point scoring system for every leg played in all divisions.
B. Each game is the best two out of three legs.
C. Do not mark the score until the match is over.
D. Write the score, do not mark an X in the box. (ie. 2-1)
E. Be sure to total your score correctly.
AWARDS
A. Team awards will be given for the first, second and third place teams in divisions with six or more teams. For divisions having five or four teams, team awards will be given for the first and second place only. A team member must play at least one half of the current season to be eligible for the team award.
Team members who play less than half of the season may receive a team award if they purchase it. L.M.D.A. funds will not be used to purchase the award.
Teams may also receive a "bar trophy" if they purchase it.
A team representative must contact the League Secretary by phone if any extra awards are wanted, as described in 1. and 2. above, by the following Monday after the Final week of the season.
B. Individual awards will be given for the following in each division.
1. PERFECT SCORE - Eligible games 301,401,501. Shall be known as T80 or 180 (three (3) triple twenties).
2. HIGH DARTS - Eligible games are 301, 401, 501. Will consist of a 3 dart total:
a. For divisions "1" - "3" 170 points or higher.
b. For divisions "4" - "6" 160 points or higher.
3. HIGH IN - Eligible games are 301 and 401 only. Shall be given to the person(s) with the highest three dart "IN" total to start the game.
4. HIGH OUT - Eligible games are 301, 401, and 501. Shall be given to the person(s) with the highest three (3) dart "OUT" total to end the game.
5. 3 IN A BED - Eligible game is CRICKET. Consisting of three (3) countable triples or double bulls. Be sure darts are all countable (able to be scored).
6. LOW DART 301 - Eligible game is 301. Count starts with the first dart thrown in the game.
a. Divisions "1"-"3" 11 darts or less.
b. Divisions "4" -"6" 12 darts or less.
7. LOW DART 401 - Eligible game is 401. Count starts with the first dart thrown in the game.
a. 12 darts or less.
8. LOW DART 501 - Eligible game is 501. Count starts with the first dart thrown in the game.
a. All Divisions 15 darts or less.
C. MVD AWARD - Most Valuable Darter award goes to the player with the best overall singles record in each division. Most wins, least losses.
Eligible games are singles Cricket and singles 301.
In the event for a forfeit, individual points for that week will be assessed in the same manner as the team score is determined for that week.
Tie-breaker will be decided in the following order of Wins, Losses, Attempts and Attendance totals.
Persons are considered ineligible when he or she drops down to a lower division than last attained.
D. LADIES MVD AWARD - Any division that consists of three (3) or more Lady darters, who compete in at least 50% of the singles (301 or cricket) matches, there will be a Most Valuable Darter Award. Existing MVD rules will govern this award.
E. PRESIDENTIAL AWARD - Will be given to the person with the best overall winning percentage of all games played.
Eligibility- Players must compete in at least 1/2 of the games of according divisions each week. Anyone who misses or fails to play in the minimum number of games a week will no longer be eligible for the Presidents award.
Determination of the President award will be as follows- All players will be charged for all legs that he/she has competed in, each player or players that participated in a game will receive one (1) point for each leg won during that game, then at the end of the season the total number of points will be divided by the total number of legs played and this will result in your average for the season.
Person is considered ineligible when throwing in a lower division than last attended
F. LADIES PRESIDENTIAL AWARD - AKA, the J.C. Clifford Award - will be awarded in the same aspect of the Presidential Award for the women of the LMDA. This is a memorial award for the remembrance of JC Clifford. Only female LMDA members in good standing are eligible.
GENERAL
A. Six (6) points will be deducted from the total points "won" if a team is not represented at any General Membership meeting.
Notification of the first General Membership meeting will be at league sign-ups. This meeting is the packet pickup.
Notification of the midseason meeting will be shown on the schedules.
There will be two (2) weeks notice of any special meetings.
B. For the purpose of point deduction, a General Membership meeting will be defined as starting with the gavel and ending one-half hour later.
The actual duration of the meeting may be less than one-half hour. Regular league business can and will be transacted without the presence of latecomers.
The one-half hour period is purely a grace period. This period in no way grants rights to latecomers regarding league business that has taken place before their arrival.
C. One (1) point will be deducted from any team having a member "out-of-order" during a meeting.
There will be one (1) warning issued to the offending member.
The Sergeant-at-Arms shall be the Complaint Chairperson.
D. If a team wishes to join the L.M.D.A. and the location of that team’s sponsor is in question then a vote will be taken of the team captains to decide if the sponsor is eligible to enter the league.
A vote can be taken at any General Membership meeting.
If a team wishing to join the league at the time of league sign-ups has a sponsor whose location is in question then the Executive Board members will decide at that time if the sponsor is eligible.
POLICY AND RULE CHANGES
A. Policy changes, temporary rulings and general information may be announced on the weekly standing sheet or a separate sheet. These policies will be considered to be in effect immediately. It is the responsibility of each member to read these announcements.
B. These rules may be amended or revised for clarity and uniformity at any L.M.D.A. meeting by presenting perspective amendment to the rules committee in writing and then by majority vote.
C. Motions for new rules and/or changes.
Once a motion for a new rule, or change of an existing rule, has been defeated by a vote at any General Membership meeting, that motion, or any variation of said motion may not be brought as a motion for a period of one (1) calendar year from the date that the motion was first brought up for a vote.
The LMDA voting right is the entire membership of the league. Any member who holds a current membership card for that present season is eligible to vote. All members are encouraged to attend all meetings and Banquets for voting benefits. A member vote counts only if he/she is present at the time of the vote. No exeptions.
